Regardless of how drastically the audiences' tastes have changed over the years, a new Avengers movie will always be an event. But Disney has its work cut out this year as it prepares to release Avengers: Doomsday. Not only is the movie responsible for reviving interest in the struggling Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it probably cost an unspeakable amount of money to produce, which means that underperforming commercially is simply not an option. Avengers: Doomsday features dozens of stars, including the returning Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, whose MCU tenures were believed to have ended after Avengers: Endgame in 2019. With months to go before the new film's release this December, several past MCU movies are seeing viewership spikes at home. Among them are mostly universally beloved blockbusters, but also a handful of outliers.
