Federal agents took groups of people suspected of immigration law violations into custody at several places near downtown Los Angeles on Friday, as protesters clashed with authorities and agents tossed at least a dozen flash-bang grenades into the crowds. There were reports of raids being carried out in the downtown LA Fashion District and other areas, including Pico-Union and Cypress Park.
