‘I’ve Had Better Days’: Taylor Frankie Paul Amid Domestic Abuse Investigation

Taylor Frankie Paul, who is currently being investigated for domestic violence, alongside her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen, opened up about the ordeal in a new interview. The MomTok founder is also slated to begin her journey on The Bachelorette, but admits that it isn’t off to a great start.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are allegedly under investigation at the moment after claims of domestic abuse emerged. Reports further confirm that the filming of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 has also been halted due to the investigation.

This comes as Paul prepares to start her journey on The Bachelorette.

She opened up about this recent controversy in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, her first since the incident unfolded. “I’ve had better days,” Paul noted, but added that she was “super excited” about Sunday’s premiere of The Bachelorette. She added that she feels “everything that’s been heavy right now is kind of taking away from that, I’m not going to lie. But in the normal situation, I’d be very excited.”

Paul and Mortensen are reportedly both under investigation because allegations were thrown in both directions.

“I actually took action about a few weeks ago,” Paul further said about this, “I’m just doing third-party everything — pick-up, drop-offs, communication — so no contact right now for me.”

She added, “I think that’s the best case, honestly, because clearly it’s just not to a point of us getting along, so I wanted to take the best action I could.” She added that she did “not make it a big deal… I didn’t want to bring anything to the public eye, making it a bigger deal for the sake of my son, and just everything about to come out. But that wasn’t the plan for him.”

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen have previously been involved in legal trouble, too.

Paul will be seen in Sunday’s premiere of The Bachelorette Season 22.
