It’s been almost three years since James Gunn took over DC Studios with co-CEO Peter Safran, and audiences are just now getting a taste of what’s to come in the newly crowned DCU with Creature Commandos, and with the marketing that is full tilt for Superman, which is set to his theaters in July. In 2023, Gunn revealed his plan for the first phase of this new connected universe, titled Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Among the six series initially announced for this first chapter, including Peacemaker Season 2, the aforementioned Creature Commandos, a Game of Thrones feeling Wonder Woman prequel series called Paradise Lost, one that stood out the most, was Lanterns.This HBO eight-episode series will follow Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), two members of the Green Lantern Corps, as they deal with a mysterious case on Precinct Earth.
