Mario Kart World is the somewhat controversial launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. I say controversial for several reasons, namely, it being the very first game to cost $80, breaking the golden $70 rule, and it also being, at least currently, the only first-party day-one launch game for the Switch 2. That last point is a particularly difficult pill for me to swallow, especially as, while I do genuinely love Mario Kart, I've not been convinced so far that it is worth spending a ridiculous amount of money for a new console.
