Hugh Jackman’s Criminally Underrated Music Biopic Is a Netflix Hit

Following his latest appearance as everyone's favorite Adamantium-clawed superhero in Deadpool & Wolverine, Hugh Jackman has released a pair of surprisingly impressive projects. Most recently, he starred as George Hardy in The Sheep Detectives, Kyle Balda and Craig Mazin's tale of a shepherd's death and his flock, who try to piece together the puzzle. Based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full, the film was expected to come and go as a cozy, fun mystery, without making much of a mark. Instead, critics and audiences loved it, although sadly not enough for its rather bloated production budget to return a profit.
