Per The Hollywood Reporter, Cate Blanchett has signed on to reprise her role as Hiccup's mother Valka in the upcoming live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon 2. She will appear opposite Gerard Butler, who reprised his animated role as Hiccup's father in the previous installment.
