Housefull 5 box office: Akshay Kumar starrer breaks THESE 10 records on its opening day

Housefull 5 movie starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead is currently entertaining the masses. The movie released on June 6 and received mixed response from the fans. It is the fifth instalment in a franchise that has been marked with blockbusters. Well, much to the delight of the makers, Housefull 5 managed to do well at the box office on its opening day. So here are some records broken by Housefull 5.

The first day collection of Housefull 5 that stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez and others is said to be around Rs 23 crore as reported by Sacnilk.com. The movie has managed to set a new record by breaking the record set by Housefull 4. It has now become the highest opening day grosser in Housefull franchise by beating Housefull 4 that had collected approximately Rs 19.08 crore.

Housefull 5 has become the third-highest opening day grosser of this year so far. Earlier, Vicky Kaushal's Chaava took the biggest opening with Rs 31 crore day 1 box office business. Salman Khan's Sikandar made around Rs 26 crore on the first day at the box office. Housefull 3 now stands at the third spot.

For Akshay Kumar, this is the second film post COVID that has taken such a fantastic start at the box office. Earlier, Sooryavanshi performed well on its opening day. Sooryavanshi had did the opening day business of Rs 26.29 crore, as reported by ABP News.

This is the second film of 2025 of Riteish Deshmukh that has turned out to be a good first day opener. He was earlier seen in Raid 2 that did a business of Rs 19.25 crore on its opening day.

It is Nana Patekar's first movie to have taken such a massive opening. Earlier, his movie Welcome Back had done a record business of Rs 14.35 crore. Now, it is Housefull 5 that has done a record business of Rs 23 crore.

At the same time, Housefull 5 has left behind films like Emergency, Superboys Of Malegaon, Fateh and others by beating the lifetime collection of the movie.

Housefull 5 has set a record in itself by becoming the most expensive comedy film of Bollywood. Reportedly, the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 225 crore.

As per the reports, the movie made an advance ticket sales of Rs 13.94 crore. Thus, it has become the highest advance booking film in the career of Akshay Kumar. Earlier, Sooryavanshi had witnessed a massive ticket sales.

As per the report, it is after Happy New Year that Abhishek Bachchan has witnessed such a massive hit at the box office in terms of opening day collection. Happy New Year had made around Rs 42.62 crore on opening day. Now, it is Housefull 5 that has made around Rs 23 crore.
