This clearly indicates that the film had a poor opening at the box office.

Although the film was praised at film festivals, the Censor Board made significant changes before its release in India. A total of 11 cuts were made, including the removal of 77 seconds of video and an entire match sequence. Following these changes, the film has been given a U/A 16+ certificate.
