Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has suffered some nasty injuries after falling off a treadmill.
The Maxine Minniver star often takes to social media to share her fitness journey, alongside soap star beau Anthony Quinlan, but her most recent post was quite different.
In a short video posted to Instagram, Nikki showed how she planned to dismount the treadmill in a calm and collected fashion, turning to the side and throwing up peace signs.
However, the next clip showed her first attempt, which resulted in the actress faceplanting the treadmill.
‘This one hurt,’ Nikki wrote in the caption.
‘A trip to the hospital with one glued chin and several layers of skin completely removed from my arms and knees,’ she continued, before warning her followers not to try the trick at home.
Her comments were quickly filled with concerned friends and followers, including Anthony, who said: ‘I’m so conflicted about watching this coz it is funny but I don’t like seeing you hurt. What were you thinking and is the treadmill ok!?’
Fellow Hollyoaks cast member Jessica Fox, who plays Nancy Osborne, wrote, ‘Mate….’, while Lucy-Jo Hudson added: ‘Oh s*** nik! I started wetting myself at first but Jesus that must have hurt.’
Frankie Osborne star Isabelle Smith left a series of shocked face emojis, adding: ‘that looks soreeee!’
Nikki’s Hollyoaks character Maxine recently left the village, alongside daughter Minnie.
The much-loved character, a mainstay of the Channel 4 soap for 12 years, faked her own death with the help of former flame Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) after learning that Grace Black (Tamara Wall) was planning to kill her.
Grace, as viewers know, has descended lower than ever, running a child exploitation operation in the village with Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and DI Banks (Drew Cain).
After discovering that Maxine was in cahoots with a mole and had made a report to the police, Grace resolved to have Maxine taken out, with her orders overheard by Dodger.
