2025 was another banner year for HBO, but few projects were released on the platform that had as much staying power as Heated Rivalry. The steamy drama stars Connor Storrie opposite Hudson Williams as two rival hockey stars at the top of their game who face an unexpected challenge when they develop feelings for each other. The show premiered last November, and although it’s been almost six months since an episode was released, it’s still one of the most popular watches on HBO Max. Fans around the world are continuing to binge Heated Rivalry while they wait for Season 2, which is expected to be released early next year. Creator Jacob Tierney has confirmed that production on Season 2 will begin this summer, but the show is still lacking an official return date.
