He-Man Returns With a Brand New Release Right After Master of the Universe Bombed

Despite the underwhelming theatrical performance of the 2026 live-action adaptation, Masters of the Universe, the franchise is continuing to grow. Dark Horse Comics has announced Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition), a new hardcover collection that revisits He-Man‘s world through previously untold stories. The upcoming release is set to further explore Eternia’s mythology.

He-Man is back with an unseen adventure after his live-action movie

The Masters of the Universe franchise is continuing to grow beyond the recent live-action film. As reported by CBR, He-Man is returning in an all-new comic collection that explores a previously unseen chapter of his journey. Dark Horse Comics has unveiled Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition), a deluxe hardcover that explores previously untold events from Prince Adam’s first year as He-Man while bringing together several stories from the franchise’s recent comic line.

The collection places a particular focus on previously untold chapters from He-Man’s journey. According to the official synopsis, readers will “discover the unseen adventures of Prince Adam’s first year as He-Man” in Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny. It also includes Masters of the Universe: Revelation, which sees He-Man face Skeletor and Evil Lyn. 

The official synopsis further states, “Journey to the earliest days of one of the universe’s most consequential, and fraught, team ups—Skeletor and Hordak—with Masters of the Universe: Revolution. And in Masters of the Universe: Andra, Andra must delve into her past, use her technical know-how, and find her own power if she hopes to save Eternia.”

The project brings together a number of creators who have contributed to the Masters of the Universe universe. Kevin Smith, Tim Sheridan, Tiffany Smith, Robert David, Ted Biaselli, and Tim Seeley serve as writers. Meanwhile, Mindy Lee, Daniel HDR, Adriana Melo, Eddie Nuñez, and Keith Champagne provide the artwork. Brad Simpson and Rico Renzi handle the colors.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition) will arrive on November 3, 2026. The hardcover spans 384 pages and carries a $59.99 cover price. It will offer longtime fans a new look at some of the most significant moments in He-Man’s expanding mythology.
