Haim have responded to rumours that they are due to play a secret set at Glastonbury 2025.

The LA trio release their fourth album ‘I Quit‘ on June 20 – the Friday before this year’s festival begins. They are scheduled for a one-off UK show at Dreamland Margate a week later (June 27), meaning they are free to appear on Worthy Farm on either the Saturday or Sunday (28, 29).

During an interview on BBC Radio 2 last night (10), the band were asked about the speculation around the numerous ‘TBA’ and mystery slots remaining on the Glasto line-up.

When host Jo Whiley suggested that Haim might be free that weekend, Este replied: “Well, we’re playing Margate.” The sisters then coyly teased that they’d be “in the area”, before picking West Holts headliner Doechii as their must-see.

Whiley then asked Haim if they had a favourite stage to play at Glastonbury.

“We love The Park Stage,” Alana responded. “The Park Stage is our favourite, ’cause that was like the first time we came to Glastonbury, we got to play The Park Stage. It felt like a movie.

“It was like, ‘What is going on? How did we get here?’. And also just like… you never forget the first time you step onto the farm. And it’s the most insane feeling, I think, that you’ll ever have. But it was an incredible… it’s the best festival in the world.”

The Park Stage currently has an unknown ‘TBA’ slot scheduled between 19:30 and 20:30 on the Saturday night.

Haim went on to say that they would be up for attending Glasto 2025, if someone could get them in.

Haim’s first Glastonbury in 2013 saw them play an early set on the Pyramid Stage – where Este almost passed out mid-performance due to type 1 diabetes – before playing a second slot on The Park Stage that same weekend.

They returned in 2014, 2017 and 2022, and also appeared on Glasto’s Live At Worthy Farm online stream in 2021.

When speaking to NME at Glastonbury 2022, Alana explained: “I mean we’ll play Glastonbury any time they want us to play, I don’t care! We were just so happy to be here.”

Danielle added: “We watched crazy bootleg YouTube videos as it wasn’t broadcast as widely in the States, so you had to find videos of different years and watch it, so we were always huge fans of it.”

In another recent interview on Radio 2, Lorde told Whiley that she was “pretty keen” to return to Glastonbury this year. There are whispers of a surprise set from the Kiwi pop star to mark the release of her new album, ‘Virgin’, on Friday June 27. She is rumoured for the opening ‘TBA’ slot on the Woodsies stage that morning (11:30-12:15).

Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi is reportedly appearing in the short Pyramid Stage slot on Friday between 16:55 and 17:30.

Pulp are rumoured to be playing that same stage too, under the cryptic alias ‘Patchwork’. If the Sheffield band do pop up, the performance will coincide with the 30th anniversary of their Glasto headline slot in 1995.

Giving a possible clue in a recent interview on Radio 2, Pulp keyboardist Candida Doyle said: “I used to do patchwork when I was on tour, and I made a really nice bit of patchwork.” This came after Cocker responded to rumours about a Worthy Farm comeback, saying that Pulp would only play “if it was a life-or-death situation”.

Haim have already shared four singles from ‘I Quit’: ‘Relationships’‘Everybody’s Trying To Figure Me Out’, ‘Down To Be Wrong’ and ‘Take Me Back’. They recently made appearances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool and Primavera Sound in Barcelona. A stop at Primavera Sound’s Porto edition is scheduled for this weekend, ahead of their headline Margate gig.

The trio have announced the North American and UK legs of their 2025 ‘I Quit’ arena tour too, with the latter scheduled to include a show at London’s O2. Find any remaining tickets here (UK) and here (North America).
