Every streaming service has its flagship action show, but Prime Video may have one of the most popular of them all in Reacher. The hit series is inspired by the series of novels written by Lee Child, and it stars Alan Ritchson, who has blossomed into one of the world’s biggest action stars in the last few years thanks to his role in the show. Make no mistake, though — as Ritchson has become more popular with new seasons of Reacher, the show has benefited from his larger audience. Ritchson has featured in other big-budget action movies like Fast X, and he teamed up with Guy Ritchie and Henry Cavill in 2024 for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. At this point, almost every streaming service has its own version of Reacher, but Peacock’s alternative to the show has more connections to the original than you may realize.
