Fantasy author Terry Pratchett made his career through the expansive Discworld novel series, but if he had written more sci-fi, the result might have been closer to a combination of Discworld and Firefly. Terry Pratchett wrote some of the best and most expansive fantasy lore of all time, while also skewering the genre, along with much of society, with a uniquely British sense of humor. British humor tends to mix dry and sarcastic wit with absurdism, giving many of the best British comedies something in common despite having wildly different settings.
