The Warriors forward suffered a gruesome knee injury. This was only his first game back after missing 10 contests with a wrist injury. It couldn’t have been worse for the promising Warriors star.

Moody was doing everything right against the Mavericks. He scored 23 points in his return, giving the Warriors a scoring outlet they so desperately needed. And his defense couldn’t be underestimated either. Moses Moody produced three steals and two blocks. A steal was actually the statement play of the night.

Right before injuring his knee, Moody picked off Cooper Flagg’s dribble. He had a wide-open lane to dunk. That’s where the disturbing incident took place. Moody’s knee appeared to buckle. The Warriors star instantly held on to the right knee. After the play stopped, everybody in the arena realised how bad the injury really was.

From watching it once, it just seemed to be a freak accident. Moses Moody’s right knee may have taken the entire force of his leap, putting it under extreme duress. But similar to some of the fans’ thoughts, there’s no confirmation. As of right now, all thoughts are with Moody. The Warriors’ star deserved to be celebrated as the match-winner for the team. But a grimacing moment stole his sensational comeback.
