Evil Theo in Coronation Street shares vile plot with Gary to bound Todd to him forever

Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) is planning a surprise for Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) in Coronation Street, one that’ll prove he has no intention of leaving him.

Prior to yesterday’s events unfolding, Theo and Todd were separated. They had split up after Theo commented on how unhappy they are in the relationship. It left Todd stunned, but he worked hard to try and move forward.

Seeing Todd speak to other men made Theo’s blood boil. He decided he needed to create a plan to worm his way back into Todd’s life, and it began with spiking his drink while in the Bistro last week.

Theo took Todd back to the flat, where he eventually passed out on the sofa. As a result of Theo’s meddling, Todd missed the marathon he had spent months training for. When he eventually woke up and realised, he was gutted.

Todd’s downbeat mood allowed Theo to swoop in and take advantage. He was incredibly supportive of Todd, and his manipulation tactics meant a vulnerable Todd believed that Theo was making a lot of effort to help him feel better.

Theo asked if they could get back together, and Todd said yes.

Their reunion left George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) stunned in this evening’s episode. Both characters believe that Theo isn’t good for Todd, but are treading carefully so they don’t overstep any boundaries and risk pushing Todd away even more.

To their surprise, George and Christina were then invited to lunch by Theo.

As they sat and listened to Theo talk about how he’s going to be a better person, George and Christina struggled to know what to say next. During a private chat, they reached an agreement that it would be best to support Todd, with the hope he’d eventually come to realise that he deserves better.

When Todd arrived in the Bistro, Theo headed to the bar to have a beer with Gary Windass (Mikey North). As he spoke about reuniting with Todd, Theo revealed to his mate that he’s going to surprise his partner with a wedding ceremony tomorrow. Gary, unaware of who Theo really is, thought it was a brilliant idea.

Theo smiled as he looked at Todd, commenting on how once they are married, they will be ‘bound together’ forever.

‘There’s the wedding day which is meant to be the most amazing thing in the world, but Todd is internally horrified’, star Gareth Pierce said, discussing what lies ahead when Theo drops this bombshell on Todd.

‘Maybe some part of him is like, weirdly flattered that someone wants to marry him and has those big feelings for him. He smiles but the eyes are telling a different story.

‘It was fascinating to film and I suppose rare as well, that you’re playing two completely different energies.’
