Erin Moriarty’s Adult Show Returning on Prime Video Very Soon

The fifth season of an R-rated superhero show, featuring Erin Moriarty, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video next week. The latest season will bring an epic conclusion to the series, pitting a team of vigilantes against an unhinged supervillain one last time.

The Boys ends with Season 5 on Prime Video soon

The Boys Season 5 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The streaming service announced the release date earlier.

While the previous three seasons debuted with three episodes, followed by new episodes weekly, the final season will premiere with only two episodes. The subsequent six episodes will arrive weekly for the remainder of the season.

The show’s cast includes Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Jensen Ackles, Cameron Crovetti, and Susan Heyward, among others.

Season 5 will not only bring back all of the fan-favorite characters from previous seasons, but it will also feature characters from its spin-off show, Gen V. Season 4 ended on a massive cliffhanger with Butcher killing Victoria Neuman, and several members of the Boys crew getting captured by Vought. Meanwhile, Starlight escapes in the hope of recruiting Marie Moreau and her friends to help take down Homelander.

The Boys is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name, published by Dynamite Entertainment. Meanwhile, Eric Kripke served as the showrunner for the live-action adaptation. The show premiered in July 2019 and has since become one of Prime Video’s standout originals.

Throughout the four seasons, the show has received extremely favorable reviews and has garnered a large following with a massive cultural impact. It has a high rating on nearly all review-aggregator sites. On Rotten Tomatoes, it currently holds an average approval rating of 93% for four seasons. Meanwhile, the show has won a total of four Primetime Emmy Awards.
