El Paso, Elsewhere 2 Preview – Escape the Void!
Drawing from the PlayStation 2-era of games we know and love, El Paso, Elsewhere 2 prides itself on its pure action and verticality.
Taking control of protagonist James Savage once more, El Paso, Elsewhere 2 will have players journeying throughout the United States over 20 levels as they slay monsters and seal away supernatural forces.
On that note, El Paso, Elsewhere 2 and its vampiric abilities let players dive through the air, backflip off enemies, and feed on their blood. Between that and its roster of 15 weapons, players will have plenty of ways to take down its many vampire Mafiosos.
Strange Scaffold Studio Head Xalavier Nelson Jr. said the following:
“We looked back to the PS2 not just for inspiration, but for methodology.
Just like the games we grew up loving, we’re directly using the foundation and assets of the original project to drive a quantum leap in gameplay.
Combat is faster, more brutal, and more nimble, and takes place in exponentially more detailed environments.
While I remain extremely proud of EPE1, the difference between a level in the original game, and what we’re doing in the sequel, is night and day, and I’m so excited for folks to finally experience a small part of that first-hand.”
Featuring nonstop neo-noir action, El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is looking to channel the pure action found in the PlayStation 2 games we know and love when it launches next year.
One can wishlist El Paso, Elsewhere 2 via its official Steam page and check out a new demo while there.
The full release of El Paso, Elsewhere 2 will come out for the PC via Steam and the Xbox Series X|S next year.
