EastEnders’ Peter plays with fire as he goes out with another girl behind Lauren’s back

EastEnders’ Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Peter Beale (Thomas Law) have only just managed to get their relationship back on track, but he risks it all this week after he catches the eye of a newcomer. 

The couple have had their fair share of ups and downs in recent months, after being torn apart as they processed their newborn son Jimmy’s sight impairment in very different ways.

Amid their turmoil, Lauren also kissed former flame Zack Hudson (James Farrar), which Peter’s meddling mother Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) had great joy in revealing all about to her son. 

Cindy is back causing tension between the pair next week as she moves into No.25 with them. 

But it is Peter’s actions that place their relationship under threat after he befriends another new parent, Demi, at Jimmy’s sensory class. 

After it becomes clear Demi fancies Peter, he later plays with fire by going for a drink with her against dad Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) advice.

He returns home full of energy and seduces Lauren, unaware that her cousin Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) witnessed his cosy meeting with Demi. 

At Johnny Carter’s (Charlie Suff) birthday party at The Albert, Penny orders Peter to tell Lauren the truth about his mystery woman, but she ultimately finds out for herself after spotting a flirty message on his phone. 

However, Lauren is unfazed by their exchange, leaving Peter to question their relationship once again.

Later in the week, Penny organises a coffee for Lauren and Demi, and the trio soon start to bond. 

Peter is horrified when he walks in and overhears them laughing at his expense, but Lauren smooths things over and tells him she wants more excitement. 

Peter turns to Ian and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), but they’re stunned when he reveals a shocking plan. 

Are Lauren and Peter about to hit the rocks (again)?
