The apocalypse will be televised, and likely sooner than you think. Ever since Peacock handed down the series order to construct the World Dungeon in live-action, Dungeon Crawler Carl's adaptation has been moving quickly. Things took a big step forward at San Diego Comic-Con, where the first cast member was officially announced during a panel with author Matt Dinniman alongside Chris Yost. Jeff Hays, the man of a thousand voices behind the much-praised DCC audiobooks, was tapped to play the crucial role of the titular Coast Guard vet's talking cat companion, Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk. There's still much to be done, between finding Carl and the rest of the crawlers and aliens, but it was a meaningful indication that the streamer is ready to get things up and running.
