President Donald Trump has broken his silence on the release of his alleged birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein with a short and angry remark.

Trump largely declined to speak on a note with the outline of a naked woman and what appears to be his signature – but not without denying again that he had any hand in it.

‘I don’t comment on something that’s a dead issue,’ Trump told NBC News on Tuesday.

‘I gave all comments to the staff.

‘It’s a dead issue.’
