Dolly Parton’s Estate Gets Restraining Order Against Late Star’s Nephew Amid Violent Threats

Dolly Parton‘s nephew has received a restraining order from the late star’s estate. According to a recent report, the estate filed the order after threats were made against employees. This incident occurred weeks after Parton picked her nephew to record a video to announce her death.

According to TMZ, a Tennessee judge has granted the entity representing Dolly Parton’s estate, She’s Alive, a temporary restraining order against the late country singer’s nephew and former head of security, Bryan Seaver. This order was granted after the estate claimed that Seaver and his security company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services (SAPS), sent threatening messages to employees.

The judge signed the restraining order prohibiting Seaver and SAPS from coming within 1,000 feet of any She’s Alive employees, including lawyers and business partners. Moreover, it also bars Seaver and his company from interfering with the entity’s business relationships. The hearing on this matter is scheduled for October 7, 2026. Seaver and his company have declined to comment.

Court filing details alleged threats & fallout inside Dolly Parton’s estate

Ahead of this order, it was previously reported that the lawyers for She’s Alive fired Seaver and SAPS from their longtime role as Parton’s security. As per the court documents, She’s Alive alleged that Seaver and his company threatened to wipe out Dolly’s legacy and business empire with threats of violence.

These included “terroristic threats, harassment, and intimidation,” according to the claims. The entity representing Dolly Parton‘s estate described these messages as “especially improper,” as they were sent by a “trained military/private-security operative with access to an arsenal of military-grade weaponry.”

It was also alleged that Seaver threatened the estate by stating, “I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnerships and telling the violations these people have done on us. It’s going to be great. Or f―ing pay me.”

Additionally, the former head of security reportedly bragged about working with private military contractors in the Iraq War, and claimed that he “just sold 29 million dollars worth of ammo to Haiti.”

These threats led to the resignation of Parton’s trusts-and-estates attorney and several other employees. Moreover, since others were scared to show up to work, She’s Alive had to hire private security to protect its employees at work and at home.
