The Los Angeles Dodgers could be without one of their star infielders for some time.

Mookie Betts was ruled out for Friday’s contest against the New York Yankees due to a toe injury and is considered day-to-day, manager Dave Roberts told reporters.

The eight-time all-star sustained the injury on Wednesday, stubbing his toe in a Dodgers loss.

Roberts added that Betts is undergoing X-rays.

The 32-year-old had only missed three of the Dodgers’ 56 games prior to the injury, slashing .254/.338/.405 through 205 at-bats for eight home runs, 42 runs and 31 RBIs.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers also lost pitcher Evan Phillips, but did so for the entirety of the 2025 season as the righty will have Tommy John Surgery.

The L.A.-based team is currently 34-22 and leads the NL West division.
