Doctor Who has found a new home in the United States. A streaming service has officially acquired the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the modern run of the series and confirmed when the episodes will begin arriving on the service. The deal includes all 13 seasons of the revived series, along with its special episodes.

13 seasons of Doctor Who to stream on AMC+

The revived Doctor Who is officially heading to AMC+ in the United States. The streaming platform has secured the exclusive U.S. rights to the modern run of the long-running sci-fi series, making all 13 revival seasons available beginning June 11, 2026. The deal also includes the associated specials, bringing the total collection to 176 episodes.

The streaming package covers the franchise’s 2005-2022 television run, beginning with Christopher Eccleston’s Ninth Doctor and continuing through the eras led by David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker. The announcement marks the first time in years that the complete revival era will be widely available on a major U.S. streaming platform.

The revived version of Doctor Who originally launched in 2005 and went on to become one of the franchise’s most globally successful periods. The long-running British sci-fi drama follows different adventures of a regenerating Time Lord who travels across time and space.

Across its 13-season run, the series earned a large international fanbase while also receiving several major honors, including multiple BAFTA Awards and a Peabody Award. Its return to streaming is expected to give U.S. audiences easier access to the revived show after a lengthy absence from major platforms.

However, the new AMC+ deal only applies to the revived 2005-2022 era of the series. The agreement does not include the original Doctor Who run that aired between 1963 and 1989, nor does it cover the recent episodes and specials featuring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor.
