Devil May Cry Season 2 Trailer: Dante & Vergil’s Clash in Netflix TV Show

Netflix has released the first Devil May Cry Season 2 trailer, previewing the clash between Dante and Vergil in the upcoming season. Devil May Cry Season 2 is set to release on Netflix on May 12, 2026.

“A war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil. In Devil May Cry season 2, Dante must confront his own devils and the feeling of family he lost as a child. With the reemergence of Vergil, will Dante lay to rest old demons or fall victim to them?” reads the official synopsis for the new season.

What happens in the Devil May Cry Season 2 trailer?

The trailer for the new series recaps the history of Dante and Vergil going back to their childhood. The two can be seen playfully fighting as kids before cutting to the future where the two are now fighting as enemies.

In the Season 1 finale, Vergil leads an assault on a U.S.-run prison camp holding Makaians and aligns himself with Mundus, the Dark Lord of Makai. Darkcom imprisons Dante at the end of the season, although it seems likely he will find his way out during the second season.

The animated series first premiered on April 3, 2025, on Netflix and consists of eight episodes in its first season. The Devil May Cry anime was created by Adi Shankar and features the voices of Johnny Yong Bosch, Scout Taylor-Compton, Hoon Lee, Chris Coppola, and the late Kevin Conroy.
