Denise Alexander’s Lesley Webber has been a pivotal character in General Hospital’s lore, and many fans remembered her as the show gave a farewell to Lesley’s frenemy, Monica, played by the legendary Lesley Charleson. Webber has not appeared in the show in years. Laura finally mentioned her in Monica’s farewell episode and told Monica’s son, Jason, that Lesley wanted to come but could not travel because of her health.

Lesley joined the staff at General Hospital on her arrival. She soon had a complicated arc after she married Cameron Faulkner. She also found out that her biological daughter, whom she thought had died, was actually alive.

After Faulkner’s death and her eventual romance with fellow physician Rick Webber, Lesley reached out to Laura and revealed she was her biological mother. Rick and Lesley ultimately married.

What happened to Laura’s mother in General Hospital?

Lesley was revealed to be Laura’s mother. After many dramatic twists, Leslie took the blame for Laura killing someone, split up with Rick, got back with him, and adopted kids. Later, Rick’s old enemy, D.L. Brock, caused Leslie’s death on the show.

But in 1996, it was revealed that Lesley hadn’t died. She was eventually forced to leave town. Since then, she returned on several occasions, including Laura’s remarriage to Luke Spencer. She made small reappearances on multiple story arcs in the subsequent years.

Laura mentioned her in the most recent episode of General Hospital and said that she was not doing very well physically.
