The aliens have marked a new destination for their annual trip back to Earth for Countdown NYE: the Los Angeles Convention Center.

For a decade, Insomniac‘s Countdown NYE made its home at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino to celebrate the end of the year in style. This year, the aliens are shaking things up by selecting a new space to invade. They’ve set their sights on the Los Angeles Convention Center, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, as the new place to be for anyone who wants to ring in 2026 at a marquee event on December 31.

The Los Angeles Convention Center spans 720,000 square feet, providing ample space for multiple stages featuring booming beats, unique surprises from extraterrestrials, and more. While complete details regarding what the aliens will do with this new venue remain a mystery, those who want a glimpse can look to recent iterations of Forever Midnight, Insomniac’s house and techno-fueled NYE event, as a taste of what could be in store.

One thing is for sure: there will be plenty of music to dance your worries away to before and after the clock strikes midnight. This year’s edition of Countdown NYE will run from 7pm to 5am, allowing you to move and groove until your feet fall off.

Although the lineup has yet to be revealed, which should arrive in the coming weeks, previous editions of Countdown NYE have featured top artists and rising stars alike. The most recent iteration brought forth standout performances from Zedd, Knock2, Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, Westend, Chris Lake, Biscits, Lilly Palmer, and more, so a wide array of genre representation is anticipated once again.

GA and VIP passes for Countdown NYE 2025 are slated to go on sale Thursday, September 18, at 12pm PT. Head to Front Gate to make your purchase, and the official website to sign up for updates on this year’s edition.
