Coronation Street star ‘holding head up high’ as she denies ‘broke’ claims

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, 34, is ‘holding her head up high’ after reports circulated regarding her financial situation.

The Rosie Webster actress took to social media to deny claims that she was ‘broke’, revealing that articles claiming as such had left her feeling down.

‘I keep seeing some really not nice articles being printed about myself in the press, and I want to speak about it, because it has been something that I’ve really struggled with this week, and it has made me feel really low in mood,’ she explained in a video.

She went on to point out that it wasn’t ‘a nice thing’ to read, and denied being in debt.

‘I have lost a lot of money, but I don’t owe anybody a penny. I can hold my head up high.

‘I don’t owe HMRC any money. I pay my taxes. I’m a good person. I have good morals. I’ve always paid my taxes. I am not in any debt… I’m lucky to be in that position.’

She went on to recall how she had read one article while heading out on a boat trip in Inverness, which left her wanting to be ‘dumped in a loch’, before revealing how her daughter had previously been left upset after someone mentioned a report at school.

The mum-of-three was flooded with support, with Christine McGuinness echoing her sentiments, writing: ‘I just feel for our children, it’s not nice for them and they’re so innocent.’

However, Helen was determined not to let it get her down any longer, as she revealed that she was going to let her hair down with some friends.

She later posted some pictures from her night out, where it was clear that a good time was had by all.

‘Last night was fun,’ she wrote in the caption, and received lots of love from her followers.

‘You look beautiful and so happy,’ one pointed out, while another said: ‘You deserve it.’
