Yes, I have lines… and let me tell you, making them flow naturally next to such seasoned actors is an art. I’m playing myself, but trust me—it’s still real work. Acting is no joke, and I respect the craft more than ever.” Roberts went on to praise the cast and crew of the show as “incredibly warm & welcoming” and enthused, “I even got to do a scene with one of my childhood idols Clifton Davis [Vernon], and worked alongside the amazing Tamara Tunie, who I’ve loved since her early Law & Order: SVU days.”

James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine): The popular actor, who made his Port Charles debut in 2016, continues his comeback as a fugitive Valentin makes life very tricky for his new co-conspirator, Carly (Laura Wright). This past March, when Valentin was first shipped off to Steinmauer to begin serving a life sentence at the maximum security prison overseas, the actor told Soap Opera Digest that on his last day of work, “There was a sort of strange calm as I was leaving. I just love the crew and so it was like, ‘I really hope I see you [again]!’ But at the same time, I’ve got a very full life, a great family and I know that I’m good. So really, at this point, it’s just whatever feeds the show and is good for the show, and I have faith that the people in charge of those decisions are doing the absolute best they can.”

Bregman told Soap Opera Digest in 2012 that she even took home some special keepsakes from the taping. “During the vows, Lauren reads a letter that Michael had sent her. To this day, I have that letter in my makeup bag,” she confided. “I also still have the Godiva candy that says, ‘Michael And Lauren,December 9, 2005.'”

Alumni Report
Jeff Kober (ex-Cyrus, GH) has landed a recurring role on one of the most acclaimed series on TV, The Pitt. Throughout the HBO drama’s second season, which is premiering in January 2026, he will play a character named Duke…. Variety reports that Kim Matula (ex-Hope, B&B) has also booked a coveted part on a much-buzzed-about series — in her case, The Hunting Wives on Netflix. Her name character is named Nadia Kelly, but further details are being kept hush-hush. The Hunting Wives already has two daytime alumnae in its cast, Brittany Snow (ex-Susan Lemay, GL) and Jaime Ray Newman (ex-Kristina Cassadine, GH). The show’s sophomore season is currently in production.
In Memoriam
Jonathan Farwell, who played the role of cunning George Rawlins on Y&R from 1988-99, passed away on December 6 at a hospice facility in Fort Collins, Colorado from complications arising from a broken hip, The Denver Gazette reported. The actor was 93. A native of Lansing, Michigan, he served with the U.S. Air Force and had an esteemed career in theater both before and after his time in Genoa City. In addition to his memorable role on Y&R — George’s wife, Cassandra (Nina Arvesen) had an affair with Paul (Doug Davidson), who was framed for George’s “murder” — the actor had short-term gigs on All My Children and Edge of Night.
Health Monitor
Guiding Light alum Beth Chamberlin (ex-Beth Raines Spaulding) revealed in a series of vulnerable Instagram videos that she was recently diagnosed with cancer and underwent a total hysterectomy in November to ensure that the disease wouldn’t spread. “In mid-October I was diagnosed with early-stage endometrial cancer,” she reported. “And on November 21st, I had to have a complete hysterectomy. Today, my final pathology report came back. Stage 1A, no spread, no further treatment necessary. I am lucky.” On December 6, she posted a follow-up video noting that two weeks after her surgery, it was “difficult” for her to wrap her mind around how easily she was tiring, and explained that during her planned hysterectomy, doctors had also had to remove adhesions (scar tissue) from surgery she’d had as a child to correct a birth defect, which was an unplanned procedure, resulting in the ongoing process of “a lot of internal tissue healing.”
