There was a time when Ciara Wilson’s world felt like a nonstop whirlwind. Between managing her music career, running businesses, and being a mom, the days blended into one busy blur. Juggling late nights, early mornings, and everything in between, it’s easy to imagine the overwhelm stacking up like a mountain. That kind of life demands a lot, no doubt about it.

Still, amidst all the hustle and the heavy days, Ciara kept moving forward. With so many roles pulling her in different directions, she often spoke about how intense the balancing act could be. Like the time when she was losing weight after the birth of her fourth child. “Trying to lose 70lbs post baby, prepare for a show and tour while breastfeeding, and running my businesses,” she had said.

But it wasn’t just the workload—it was the whole mix of emotions and moments that come with living such a full life, where overwhelm sometimes felt like the only constant. But get this—Ciara isn’t the kind of person who will minimize her emotions or feelings just to make things easier, or let’s just put it like, less complicated. In fact, instead of spiraling into stress, she made a personal call to flip the script and choose gratitude.

And on Wednesday, she shared one such anecdote with her husband, the Giants‘ quarterback, Russell Wilson. “Guys, oh my gosh,” she shared on her Instagram, “Listen, Russ just said to me, he said, bae. I told him, I said, ‘You know what, bae?’ I said, ‘I might just have a drink tonight.’ Then, I said, ‘I don’t even believe in like shrinking anything to feel some kind of way.’ He said, ‘You’re stressed out.’ And I said, ‘nah, because stressed out is a negative thing.'”

That’s the kind of perspective Ciara was always hoping for whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And she finally got it during a chat with Wilson. She’s all about ditching stress because, honestly, it’s just a negative vibe—not just for her, but for everything she’s juggling: like singing, motherhood, business, and her personal life too. Rather than that, she feels blessed.

As she put it simply, “I’m like, ‘We blessed out. We ain’t stressed out, we blessed out…’ That is the best perspective. We got to thank God for all our blessings, because sometimes blessings can feel overwhelming, but it’s good overwhelming. So we ain’t stressed out, we blessed out. I love that. Amen. On that overflow. So good.” So yeah, juggling through her career and personal well-being, Ciara knows all these things are a blessing for her.

Safe to say the R&B singer uses her voice not just for singing, but to spread awareness about keeping going. Because there’s a lot of good in that overwhelming feeling that people are feeling now.

On the other side of that, she recently grabbed the spotlight during Memorial Day, while sharing an emotional note for the incredible men and women who served the country.

Ciara Wilson penned down an emotional note for the army

Whether raising funds for underprivileged children or showing up at national charity galas with her husband, Ciara Wilson has been using her voice for more than just the music. So, when the Memorial Day coincided with the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas, Ciara took a moment and penned a heartfelt message with tears in her eyes to honor men and women who are serving the country.

So my eyes are honestly, they’ve been watering for a second because I am with some of the most amazing people in the world,” she said in a video shared on ‘X’. I just want to thank you guys so much for your dedication, your commitment, your sacrifice, for everything you do. It means so much to me, my family, my proud military brat. You guys make us feel safe. You guys make us feel proud. And I just want to say thank you so much. Happy Memorial Day.”

And get this—Ciara isn’t just sharing this message for celebrity clout. Nope. She’s the daughter of a military man, and she grew up carrying that pride with her. Ever since, she’s embraced that identity wholeheartedly, wearing it like a badge of honor. I’m a daddy’s girl, so my dad’s love was incredibly valuable for me,” she once said during an interview.

So, when she shared that message honoring the brave men and women, she wasn’t talking the talk. Loud and clear.
