Chris Pratt’s Official ‘Reacher’ Replacement Surges on Prime Video 4 Years Later

2026 has been another successful year for Chris Pratt, but it’s all been building to his biggest new release of the year. Pratt took his talents to Amazon MGM for the debut of the new sci-fi thriller, Mercy, which co-stars Rebecca Ferguson. Pratt and Ferguson’s combined star power wasn’t enough to help the film overcome poor reviews, though, and it managed only $54 million at the global box office against a $60 million budget. Mercy did go on to become one of the most-watched movies of the year on Prime Video. Pratt swiftly found box office redemption thanks to the premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which was the first feature film of 2026 to reach $1 billion at the box office. It’s far from Pratt’s first movie to reach this milestone, though, thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and the Jurassic World franchise.
