EastEnders’ Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) lives to regret ignoring her family’s warnings about Sheila Atkins (Sheila Ruskin) next week as their worst fears are realised when she kidnaps Chelsea’s son Jordan Fox (Jahsaiah Williams).
A nightmare becomes reality for the Foxes as Chelsea’s murderous ex Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) uses his grandmother Sheila and new inmate Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) to enact a dastardly plan from behind bars.
Sheila has been getting closer to Chelsea and Jordan since she arrived in Walford earlier this summer, but Chelsea has no idea that she has been secretly in cahoots with Gray, visiting him in prison.
And as luck would have it, Gray’s attempts to get back at Chelsea for her role in getting him locked up in 2022 for three counts of murder, received a boost when Ian was sent down for drink driving and found himself on the same wing as Gray.
Gray has been manipulating Ian, who has his own grudge against Chelesa, as she failed to make a statement that admitted her own role in the accident that saw Ian run over her and Gray’s son, Jordan.
Next week, events start to unfold when Gray offers Ian protection in prison in return for requesting a visit from Chelsea. While Ian initially refuses, an escalating situation makes him relent.
While her family try to talk her out of it, Chelsea agrees to visit Ian, and when Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) agrees to look after him, Sheila then bides her time, before snatching Jordan.
Kim and the family pale when they realise Jordan is gone, and it doesn’t take them long to suspect Sheila is responsible.
At the hospital, local copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is alerted to the unfolding events while visiting wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish) on the cancer ward, and tries to get a lead on Sheila’s whereabouts.
But when Jack’s back is turned, Denise takes matters into her own hands, adamant that she and Kim will get to Sheila first.
With Chelsea at the prison and in the dark about what has been going on back home, Ian comes to realise that Gray has involved him in a more sinister plan, and begs Chelsea to leave – but it’s too late as a terrifying incident soon breaks out…
Will Denise and Kim find Jordan? And how will Chelsea and Ian manage to escape Gray’s killer clutches?
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 10th August at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
