Race Across The World fans had a bittersweet night on Wednesday, when the gripping finale saw the latest winners being crowned.
But as epic as that last leg of the latest series was, it also signified that the show is over for another year.
Sort of.
The good news is that the third celebrity edition of Race Across The World is due to hit our screens later this year, with rumours already circulating about which famous faces could be taking part.

While these reports remain unconfirmed by the BBC, The Sun has reported that former Strictly Come Dancing stars Tyler West and Molly Rainford – who got together after their series was over – will be taking part in the new series.
It’s also been claimed that Derry Girls and Big Boys actor Dylan Llewellyn will be on the line-up, competing alongside an undisclosed friend or family member, while presenter Roman Kemp is also tipped to have signed up for the sprawling travel show with his sister.

Last year’s season saw Scott Mills and his then-husband-to-be Sam Vaughan,Jeff Brazier and his youngest son Freddie, Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi, and Ted Lasso star Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen travelling across South America on land.
As for us non-celebrities, applications are now open to compete on the upcoming sixth season of Race Across The World, and will remain so until 6 July.
Before that, there’s also the reunion special of this year’s series, airing on Wednesday night at 9pm on BBC One, which will see the entire cast coming together to reflect on their experiences.
