Fire Countryseason 5's opener may have fixed some of the show's fundamental issues, but it also threatened to derail Bode Leone's (Max Thieriot) story again, after doing so nearly every season thus far. Fire Country season 5, which opened with the Edgewater fire department dealing with a disaster of epic proportions as a sinkhole opened up amid the town's annual Founder's Day celebration, seems to be prepared to take the show a bit back to basics. After years of taking big swings and with the last season recalibrating after cast exits, Fire Country has needed a fairly large reset.
