Cara Delevingne has opened up about her romantic history with Amber Heard on The Louis Theroux Podcast. The supermodel admitted their relationship developed while Heard was ending her marriage to Johnny Depp.

Delevingne told Theroux about the nature of their bond during that period. She shared, “We were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled, I suppose.” Photographers captured the two together in London in 2016, days after Heard’s $7 million divorce settlement.

Their history predates the divorce and stretches back to the 2013 set of London Fields. Delevingne, Heard, and Depp all starred in the Billy Bob Thornton murder mystery. Delevingne claimed Depp “was pretty driven crazy by jealousy” during filming, two years before he married Heard.

She clarified that nothing romantic occurred between her and Heard during production. Delevingne recalled, “Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose… No, I don’t suppose. I know. Yeah.” She also revealed that Heard was seeing others simultaneously during their involvement.

Theroux suggested Elon Musk was among those people, and Delevingne confirmed by responding, “There you go.” Depp later sued Heard in 2019 over her Washington Post domestic abuse op-ed. He won the highly publicized 2022 defamation trial and received a reduced damages award.

Heard has since left the entertainment industry and moved to Madrid with her three children. She welcomed twins Agnes and Ocean in May 2025, joining daughter Oonagh, now 5. Representatives for Heard, Depp, and Musk did not respond to requests for comment on the podcast revelations.
