Brendan Fraser’s Rick O’Connell Looks Very Different in First Mummy 4 Photos

Brendan Fraser was recently photographed filming for The Mummy 4 in Suffolk, England, where cameras captured him working on what appears to be an action-heavy sequence. The Oscar-winning actor will be stepping back into the boots of his iconic character Rick O’Connell, and the upcoming sequel’s first set photos show the adventurer looking ready for another adventure.

The 57-year-old actor was reportedly filming at a former military base, trading his familiar adventurer look for a black leather jacket and matching pants. He also climbed into a silver-and-red rocket car for what looks like a record-speed trials scene. Between takes, Fraser can be seen chatting with his co-stars, who cheered him on in another image.

London also welcomed Rachel Weisz back as Egyptologist Evelyn Carnahan, with her portion of the production taking place separately from the other scenes. She was spotted filming near the British Museum in a brown cropped jacket paired with a mustard-yellow polka-dot midi skirt and a hat. Black footwear, leather gloves and a brown briefcase rounded out Evelyn’s vintage ensemble.

It has been over 25 years since Fraser and Weisz last appeared together on screen in the franchise. Their reunion follows 1999’s The Mummy and its 2001 sequel, The Mummy Returns. Weisz did not return for 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, with her role being recast in the film, making the upcoming fourth installment a reunion for the pair. Oded Fehr, John Hannah and Kevin J. O’Connor are also reprising their fan-favorite roles from the previous films.

Details about Rick and Evelyn’s next adventure remain under wraps, however. Directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are behind the project, reuniting after their work on Ready or Not and the Scream series.

Fraser’s fourth Mummy film is currently scheduled to be released in October 2027.
