Singer-songwriter Benson Boone appeared on the stage of the 51st Annual American Music Awards and performed his hit single “Mystical Magical.” He was also nominated for several awards on the night. At the red carpet for the event, he discussed Spider-Man actors Tom Holland and Zendaya. Notably, Boone is a close friend of Holland.
What did Benson Boone say about Tom Holland and Zendaya?
Boone said Holland was “a great, great human being,” while speaking to E! News at the red carpet for the 2025 American Music Awards. When asked how he and Holland became friends, the 22-year-old performer responded, “Just word of mouth, and then it got around.”
Boone even said that he would readily agree to perform at Holland and Zendaya’s wedding. “Immediate, yes, of course, of course,” he declared. “I’m not gonna pass that over.”
Notably, Boone and Holland were seen together earlier this month at Soho House Holloway in West Hollywood.
Holland and Zendaya were in a relationship for some time before they publicly confirmed it in November 2021. TMZ reported that the couple got engaged in a private setting at one of Zendaya’s family homes during the holidays in late 2024. As for the pair’s wedding plans, People magazine cited a source to claim that Holland and Zendaya “will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.”
These reports came after Zendaya appeared at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, wearing a diamond ring. Holland and Zendaya are one of the most high-profile couples in the world and receive considerable media attention. In a 2021 interview with GQ, they reflected on the impact of media and public frenzy around their relationship.
Meanwhile, Boone has been in a relationship with Maggie Thurmon, a model, actress, and social media influencer. It has been speculated that his song Beautiful Things is about Thurman.
