Netflix is saying goodbye to one of its longest-running shows today, with the premiere of a new batch of episodes of a fan-favorite sitcom.

What Netflix TV show ends today?

The TV sitcom The Upshaws comes to an end today. The series’ fifth and final season, which is called “Part 7” of the show due to its unconventional episode structure, is available now on Netflix. The last season of the show consists of 12 episodes, and will end with 60 total episodes, making it the third-longest-running multi-camera comedy for Netflix, trailing just behind The Ranch (80) and Fuller House (75).

“Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family — wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine) and firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), the teenage son (Diamond Lyons) he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis) — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together,” reads the show’s official description.

The Upshaws was created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes, and chronicles the story of the Upshaw family, an African-American working-class family from Indiana, as they struggle to make ends meet and pursue their various dreams and goals. The series premiered in 2021, and most recently had its fourth season (dubbed “part six”) run for 10 episodes last year.

The series stars Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes as the heads of the titular Upshaw family, Bernard and Lucretia. Alongside them, the series also stars Kim Fields, Diamond Lyons, Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine, and Jermelle Simon. Recurring stars include Gabrielle Dennis, Page Kennedy, Mike Estime, Leonard Earl Howze, Dayna Dooley, Daria Johns, Kym Whitley, Lamont Thompson, and more.
