Baywatch star Alexandra Paul was arrested for alleged trespassing during an animal rights protest, which involved freeing several beagles from a facility.
This is the second time the former TV star, 62, has been arrested. The first was in 2021 for misdemeanour theft, where she was later found not guilty for rescuing chickens from a transport vehicle.
It is understood that the group of protestors in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, numbered up to 60 people, and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) confirmed that Paul had been arrested alongside 20 others after allegedly trespassing on Ridglan Farms.
It’s of only two fams in the USA that offer ‘purpose-bred beagles for biomedical research’, according to the website.
The DCSO said in a statement that on March 15 ‘On March 15, ‘some activists broke into the facility and began removing numerous dogs.’
DCSO Sheriff Kalvin Barrett added that the agency ‘understands how deeply people feel for the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and we respect their right to express that passion through peaceful protests.’
He concluded: ‘Our role is to keep everyone safe and to respond when unlawful activity takes place.
‘We encourage anyone with concerns about animal welfare or research practices to engage through lawful and constructive avenues.
‘The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to maintaining public safety, promoting peaceful dialogue, and ensuring that all parties can exercise their rights within the bounds of the law.’
In October 2025, the La Crosse County District Attorney and Ridglan Farms agreed to stop selling purpose-bred dogs for research no later than July 2026.
Currently, the website states: ‘We are committed to the highest standards of health and quality, which is backed by our AAALAC International accreditation for animal care and welfare.’
Most will recognise Paul from her stint on Baywatch as Lt. Stephanie Holden between 1992 and 1997, where she starred alongside Pamela Anderson and Nicole Eggert.
