Battlestar Galactica is an irreplaceable sci-fi TV masterpiece, yet the potential of the show that came closest to replacing it was never realized, as it came years too soon. It is a testament to the skill of the creators and cast of Battlestar Galactica that the series has achieved such success, as it is a rare reboot that is better than the original. While the show has a proper ending after its four seasons, leaving viewers satisfied but with questions, it was difficult to let go of the world that had been built.
