In the wake of the success of their rock climbing thriller “Apex,” filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur and actress Charlize Theron are reuniting for “Six Clean Kills” at Universal Pictures.
Theron will produce and potentially star in the film based on an unpublished Stan Parish novel. Parish himself is set to adapt the script.
Story specifics are under wraps, but Kormákur will produce.
Theron has been loosely attached for some time with this seemingly the perfect follow-up. However, it’s still in the development stage as Theron is currently shooting “Tyrant” for Amazon MGM Studios.
Meanwhile, Kormakur is currently filming Netflix’s “The Big Fix” starring Mark Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed.
“Apex” debuted on April 24th on Netflix and shot to No. 1 on the film list – holding it for two straight weeks now and growing in its second week with 40.8 million viewers.
