Anne Hathaway’s Dinosaur Movie Is a Bigger Streaming Hit Than Anyone Expected After 2 Weeks

A popular Dinosaur movie starring Anne Hathaway has been a streaming hit for two consecutive weeks. Helmed by David Robert Mitchell, the sci-fi movie also features Ewan McGregor and Maisy Stella, among others.

The End of Oak Street has become a bigger streaming hit than previously expected. It has managed to stay at the top on Fandango’s premium video-on-demand streaming service for the week of September 21- September 27.

The sci-fi adventure film was originally released in theaters on August 14, 2026. Made on a budget of $85 million, it made just over $121 million worldwide. However, it did impress critics as well as audience members. Currently, it holds a stellar Tomatometer score of 87% and a Popcornmeter score of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The End of Oak Street’s story focuses on a family from 1982. Anne Hathaway plays Denise Platt, alongside McGregor, who plays her husband, Greg Platt. The couple tries to save their family after a shocking cosmic event rips Oak Street out of suburbia and transports their neighborhood to an unknown place.

An official synopsis for the movie reads, “The Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”

Despite its poor box-office run, The End of Oak Street has successfully captured viewers’ attention on streaming. This is evident from the latest results on Fandango, which put it ahead of competing movies and TV shows.

Following a streaming debut, it has continued to dominate the list of top ten streaming titles on Fandango in the second week as well:
