Andor’s astronomical budget for seasons 1 and 2 makes it Star Wars’ most expensive show by far – but the result was worth it. Star Wars’ foray into live-action TV has been hit or miss. Even The Mandalorian, widely praised during its first two seasons, received middling reviews at best for season 3, while other original Star Wars TVstories, like Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte, have passionate vocal fan bases but low viewership numbers. Each of Star Wars’ live-action TV shows has been eye-wateringly expensive, but Andor takes the cake.
