Gossip Girl is leaving Netflix next month. According to What’s on Netflix, all six seasons of Blake Lively’s beloved series are scheduled to depart the streaming platform on October 28, 2026.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage developed Gossip Girl as a television adaptation of Cecily von Ziegesar’s book series. The show debuted on September 19, 2007, and ran for six seasons before ending on December 17, 2012.

The story is set among the wealthy teenagers of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where friendships and relationships are repeatedly disrupted by an anonymous source known only as Gossip Girl. Serena van der Woodsen returns to New York after attending boarding school, immediately drawing attention from the people she left behind. Her arrival affects her friendship with Blair Waldorf and creates tension with Blair’s boyfriend, Nate Archibald.

Other central characters include Chuck Bass, the privileged son of a wealthy family, and Dan Humphrey, a teenager from Brooklyn who becomes involved with the Upper East Side social circle. The story later follows the characters beyond their school years as they move into college and begin pursuing their careers, while the person behind the anonymous account remains unknown.

The ensemble features Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen, Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, Penn Badgley as Daniel “Dan” Humphrey, Chace Crawford as Nathaniel “Nate” Archibald, and Ed Westwick as Charles “Chuck” Bass, along with other cast members.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds an 84 percent score from critics and a 79 percent audience score.
