As the Star Wars universe continues to expand, the connections between the live-action and animated stories have grown deeper. This phenomenon brought beloved animated characters to life, like Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) and Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson). Yet no series does this on a larger scale than Ahsoka, which, in addition to being named after the beloved Padawan from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, includes most of the cast of Star Wars: Rebels. Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) takes a central role as Ahsoka's apprentice, and Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Chopper (Dave Filoni) are among the few willing to help Ahsoka on her mission to find their lost friend, Ezra (Eman Esfandi) and their former Imperial enemy Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). With so many important players from Rebelsonce again playing major roles, it seems like Ahsoka was, in part, an addition to the animated series.
