With Ahsoka Season 2 officially in production, series star Rosario Dawson is embracing a unique approach to discovering the story — by deliberately not reading the scripts ahead of the cast table reads. During a sit-down with Collider's Maggie Lovitt at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, Dawson explained why she prefers to be surprised and how that first read-through continues to be one of her favorite experiences on the show. It's a bold approach, but Dawson likes the idea of finding things out with a group of colleagues as part of a communal experience, something she believes enhances her excitement. “Oh my goodness. I don't know if I told you, but I haven't been reading them in advance of the team reads,” Dawson said, to which Ahsoka executive producer and The Mandalorian & Grogu director Jon Favreaunodded: “I know that.”
