Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, deemed as the worst mainline Pokémon games based on their Metacritic scores, have several issues, but they’re not all bad, and I’m here to defend them. The first Generation 9 titles were released back in 2022. While it was mostly praised, the duo of games was received with a lot of criticism, most of it directed at its technical issues. At launch, and even after multiple updates, the games exhibit poor graphics quality and unstable frame rates (FPS) that cause significant lag. Performance in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was undeniably the Gen 9 game’s worst issue.
