A $7.5 billion check from the federal government could be headed toward property tax relief for Texans. Gov. Greg Abbott said Friday that he wants to use as much of Texas’ recent border-security reimbursement as possible to reduce property taxes, while maintaining funding for the state’s ongoing border operations.
