Joe Pesci's Tommy DeVito walks into a room expecting to become a made man in Goodfellas. What happens next takes only a few seconds, but it's a moment audiences will never forget. That's the power of a great crime movie plot twist. Sometimes everything changes in an instant. Other times, the truth has been staring us in the face for the entire movie, and we only realize it when it's too late.
